Consistency pays off as the Banky Race Team wins its second race of the season during AHDRA's S&S Jim McClure Nationals held September 20 & 21st, at the Virginia Motorsports Park.

Rick Moore recorded his best pro-gas E.T. of the season, against class champion, Dale Raudenbush.  Moore finished the quarter-mile finals with an E.T. of 7.670 at 165.86mph.

"This had to be the longest 7.670 seconds of my career.  I saw Raudenbush pull out beside me.  I just kept the bike straight and held on.  It wasnt until after I finished that I realized he didn't have a competitive run."

According to owner/tuner, Bob Banky, "this is just what we needed.  This win secured a third place finish for us nationally, and runner-up in the Eastern Division.  Overall, I'm really pleased with the season."

But Banky Racing isn't ready to call it a season.  They still have a few tricks up their sleeves as they approach the last race of the season.

Moore and Banky would like to thank the following sponsors:
  •     Wallace Landscape, and
  •     Harley Davidson of Maryland.

You probably heard fans, crew, and competitors cheering as Rick Moore crossed the finish line during third-round qualifying of AHDRA's Pro-Fuel class.

He completed the quarter-mile run with an E.T. of 6.831 at 202.94mph - likely an experience he will never forget.

Moore attributes this accomplishment to owner/tuner, Mike Bahnamier and team members of Mid-Continent Motorsports.  "It's definitely a team effort.  Everyone works long, hard hours each and every race weekend.  I can't thank them enough."

The Mid-Continent Motorsports team is supported by: Harley-Davidson of Salina, Mike's Metal Polishing of Ransom, KS, Gates Corporation, Saum Engineering, CP pistons, Nungesser Engineering, and the Nevada Auto Mall.
